Synopsis:
Henry, Jessie, Violet, and Benny Alden take care of one another. They have no parents, no other family—except for a grandfather they don’t care to see—and no home . . . until the night they find the boxcar. My Review: 4 Stars
Growing up I had the hardest time reading books! I just could NOT get into them! I would rather be outside playing and going on adventures than in the house reading a book. So when I absolutely had to read books for school I searched a long time until my teacher helped me discover The Boxcar Children. From the very beginning I was hooked! I absolutely loved this series!
So when my 2017 Reading Challenge had a favorite book from your childhood, I just HAD to chose this one! And I was so happy that I did! It was fun to reminisce about my childhood! So many great memories! I would have LOVED to have an old boxcar to play in with the stream near by, a fire pit, and being able to discover the world around me! I think this is a timeless classic and would be fun to share with all my nieces and nephews! :)
