Destiny Came Knocking by Cindy Roland Anderson

Synopsis:

When Piper Jensen’s dog has a litter of puppies that aren’t anything like their purebred mother, she immediately suspects the culprit responsible for the mishap is her neighbor’s derelict dog. Seeking restitution, Piper confronts the owner, Gabe Wesson, a single father of two children that likes to keep to himself. She isn’t prepared for Gabe to be so handsome, nor so disagreeable, and is irritated by his demands for a paternity test to prove his dog is the sire. As she and Gabe try to work things out, they both fight a growing attraction neither one of them want. But when Piper finds her heart falling in love with his children, it might be the catalyst that tips the scale towards a destiny she never dreamed possible.

My Review: 4.5 Stars

After being humiliated and fired from her last job, Piper decides that she's in need of a fresh start and a change of scenery. When the opportunity to breed her purebred King Charles Cocker Spaniel arises in Snow Valley, MT, she jumps at the chance. Everything seems to be going her way until destiny comes knocking in the form of her neighbors rascally dog, Rascal. Apparently her puppies aren't as purebred and she was lead to believe. She plans to confront her neighbor to see just what he's going to do to make it right. But when she comes face to face with her handsome neighbor and his two adorable children, all thoughts of making him pay fly right out the window.

Gabe isn't' the most trusting of the opposite sex. He has been horribly hurt by his ex-wife and has sworn off women for good. But when his beautiful neighbor shows up on his doorstep informing him of the trouble his dog has caused, he will have to fight with his heart and his head to stick with his convictions. But the more time Piper spends with him and his two kids, the more he realizes that he doesn't want to fight it. He would love the opportunity to see where things can lead with him and Piper.

But when they are faced with Piper's past, the relationship will be tested. Can Gabe find it in himself to trust and move forward with Piper in his life? Or will past hurts rear its ugly head and ruin the chance for their happily ever after?

Destiny Came Knocking is a super cute book! I was sucked in from the beginning and didn't want to put it down! Shane and Lindsey were such a fun addition to the story! The antics of kids can be quite hilarious as well as adorable! These two did not disappoint! I loved seeing all the relationships develop between our hero, heroine and the kids. I am definitely a sucker when it comes to single parents finding love kind of books. Everyone deserves a HEA!

I have to say that Ms. Anderson is definitely becoming a favorite of mine. She has a way of making me feel every single thing the characters are feeling. I laughed out loud, got angry, had my heart drop to my stomach, got teary eyed, let out lots of dreamy sighs and had a permagrin on my face while reading this book. She really is an amazing author and I seriously need to check out more by her! :)

And let's not forget my casting. I think these two are amazing! What do you think?!
