I discovered Heather Horrocks when we read one of her books for our book club. It was super cute and I absolutely adored it! I have continued reading her books and I have loved them all! It's hard to pick a favorite so I decided on one I recently read. It was adorable! 

WHEN CUPID TAKES AIM — YOU’D BETTER RUN! 

Julia Murphy is yearning to find her vampire lifemate. When she meets an attractive cowboy and his adorable daughter, she tries to take a step back from what she's feeling, but ends up drawn to the pair anyway. Fate wouldn't be so unkind as to have her lifemate be a human, would it?

I recently discovered Elana Johnson on the Swoony Award list! I love finding new authors! I have only read one of her books so far but I enjoyed it so much that I went and purchased more of her books! I'm looking forward to reading them! But until I do, I share the super cute one that I loved! 

Paramedic Andrew Herrin delivered Gretchen Samuels's daughter on the side of the road when she and her husband couldn't make it to the hospital in time. When their paths cross again in small-town Hawthorn Harbor, she's a widow and the baby is ten-year-old Dixie. 

Dixie gets along great with Drew, and Gretchen finds herself falling in love with the man who's rescued her twice now. But when Drew's ex-girlfriend comes back to town, Gretchen's trust issues rear their ugly head. Can she and Drew find their way toward finding love in the lavender?

Heather Tullis is the author of over thirty works including The DiCarlo Bridesseries. She has sold over 200,000 copies of her stories in multiple languages. She combines her love for romance and dabbler’s interest in everything around her to create characters with diverse backgrounds and careers. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Literature. In her free time, Heather loves working with the youth in her church, hanging out with her husband and dogs, testing new recipes, and listening to the neighborhood birds.

For those of you who are on Goodreads, you probably have at least one "friend" who tends to be a little too critical and sometimes negative in their reviews. I have a few of them. Well... I have one of those "friends" to thank for discovering Heather Tullis! I was tired of reading their negative reviews so I decided I would give one of the authors a try. And that author was... you guessed it! Heather Tullis! I devoured her DiCarlo Bride series and went on to read more of her books. She has a lot of really good books. Two of my favorites are... 

It isn't Sage Parker's fault that she mistakes former Navy SEAL Joel Watts as the stalker who had been sending her disturbing letters--he shows up every time she turns around. Too bad her father doesn’t tell her he sent Joel to protect her. When the stalker tracks Sage from LA to her new job in Colorado, she's glad to have Joel on her side. She didn’t plan to falling in love with him though—now if he would see her as more than just a client.

Joel takes his job as head of resort security seriously, but Sage is his number one priority, and the one woman he can’t get out of his mind. He isn't sure if he believes in her precognition, or some of her other hokey beliefs, but he soon finds he can't live without her. He just has to catch the stalker before he or Sage end up dead.

Award-Winning Author Lisa Swinton caught the romance bug early by way of fairy tales and hasn't been able to cure it since. Instead, she feeds her addiction with romance novels and films. In between being a doctor's wife and mother of two, she occasionally puts her B.A. in Musical Theater to good use via community theater and church choir. In her elusive spare time she enjoys researching her family tree and baking (especially with chocolate). She loves to travel, Jane Austen, and all things Italian. In her next life, she plans to be a professional organizer.

I actually discovered Lisa Swinton on the Swoony Awards list! I love when I find new authors there!

I have only read one of her books so far but I absolutely LOVED it! I have added other books by her onto my TBR list and I can't wait to read them! 

Her cowboy might just be another broken-heart ballad waiting to happen… 

Country superstar Sara Silver has it all: fame, fortune, and a mantel full of Grammys. She also has a string of chart-topping heartbreak songs to go with them—all based on her miserable love life. Now her manager says Sara doesn’t sing with the heart she used to. If she doesn’t come up with another hit album soon, then her label will move on to the next big thing. 

Sara heads to a ranch in Wyoming to get back to her country roots and rediscover herself. To keep the press away, she hides her identity and is determined to let nothing distract her. Then she meets Cal: tall, brooding, and all cowboy. Sara falls for Cal and the quiet ranch life, but with each song she writes her time there draws to a close. 

Sara will have to choose between the country stars of Nashville or the glittering stars of a Wyoming sky…unless she can find a way to have both.

Sariah Wilson

Sariah Wilson has never jumped out of an airplane, never climbed Mt. Everest, and is not a former CIA operative. She has, however, been madly, passionately in love with her soulmate and is a fervent believer in happily ever afters—which is why she writes romance. She grew up in southern California, graduated from Brigham Young University (go Cougars!) with a semi-useless degree in history, and is the oldest of nine (yes, nine) children. I can't remember how I discovered Sariah Wilson but if I had to take a guess it was probably from Kathy and Katie... they're awesome at spreading the love!

I can say that I have loved every book of Sariah's that I have read so far. There are more that I still need to read though! But I think my two absolute favorites would be...

For this month's Author's Corner I am going to choose...

Michelle Pennington

Michelle Pennington spends her days quoting movies with her husband and making messes faster than her four kids. She writes clean young adult, contemporary, fantasy, and regency romance. The genre might change, but her characters will always be falling in love.

She spends her spare time, what little there is, making designer sugar cookies, singing loud in church, and killing way too many house plants.

Michelle is an active contributor in the LDS and Clean Fiction writing communities. She is blessed to have the support of her family and amazing friends on this crazy journey, as well as the constant company of the characters who live in her imagination.

I discovered Michelle Pennington during our Christmas Swoon Fest last year. I believe her book Sawdust and Mistletoe was on ALL of our reading lists! And guess what?! It was AMAZING! Oh! And it's one of my favorites of hers! Yes... I said one because I'm going to share TWO of my favorites of hers! Hehe. ;) 

By December first, Ava Grisham is already sick of Christmas. Unfortunately, she has to survive decorating for her boss’s wealthy clients so she can afford to quit after New Year's. Everything is on track for her to start her own design company until she hires a new handyman and all her meticulous plans fall apart. Not only is her future business in danger, but so is her heart. Hunter is talented, strong, and charming, but falling for such a free-and-easy man will only lead to heartbreak. 

Hunter Newman loves his single life with no responsibilities, but he’s always there for his family. When his brother loses his job, he drives across the country to help however he can. Then he meets Ava and realizes his brother isn’t the only one who needs help. Ava captivates him with her determination and warm heart, but she’s lost the joy of Christmas. He’s determined to put the sparkle back in her eyes, even if it means risking his heart. 

Somewhere between the twinkle lights and candy canes, they’ll discover the magic of the season. But can they find a way to be together?
