Synopsis:
Dr. Samantha Moore is one of the youngest and most acclaimed researchers in the world. Her specialty is blood and she has been recruited by the largest pharmaceutical company in Scotland. For what purpose she cannot begin to imagine, but in an attempt to break out of her painfully shy shell, she throws caution to the wind and leaves her family and best friend behind in Savannah.
Dr. Kade Gunnach is taking a chance hiring an outsider, but he’s desperate to find out how to help his sister. He believes the key lies in her blood, but so far, no one has found the answers. I've decided it's time to reread this series and so I'll be re-posting my reviews. I enjoyed this as much and the first and second time I read it! Yes.. this is my 3rd time! Hehe. And before I go any further... no this is NOT a book about vampires! And yes... I did think that going into it the first time I read it! Hehe.
Dr. Samantha Moore is human. She is one of the most acclaimed researchers in the world and her specialty is blood. Dr. Kade Gunnach is Cauld Ane. He is so desperate to find out what is going on with his sister, Fiona, that he is willing to hire an "outsider" to help him figure it out.
Sam thinks she's going a little crazy when she first meets Kade because she can "feel" his emotions and has no clue what is going on. She is instantly attracted to him and turns to "goo" in his presence. Kade cannot believe that after all these years he has finally found his mate. He knows it's her from the first moment she walked into his office. But because she is human, he has to take it slow so he doesn't overwhelm her and make her run away.
In the midst of exploring their new relationship, there are other issues that need to be dealt with. Someone is trying to sabotage Gunnach Pharmaceuticals and put the blame on Kade and his brothers, Connall and Brodie. There are also people out to try and hurt Sam.
We also get a little set up for other books in the series. Connall, Brodie, Payton, Pepper... love them all! Can't wait to re-read and re-post my reviews for those as well! :)
