Synopsis:
When it comes to life, Kallie Clemmons is on top of her game. A no-nonsense lawyer, with beauty and a kind heart to match. But when it comes to love, she runs the other way. That is until she runs, literally, into her old college boyfriend, Officer Harrison Monroe. This time around, Harrison isn’t going to let her do another hit and run. He’s determined to find out why she left him five years ago, without even a goodbye, and if at all possible, convince her to give up her running shoes.
What Harrison doesn’t know is that the key to their future hinges on her past and the secret she’s kept from him.
Will Harrison be able to unlock her secret and help her overcome her fears? Or will he have Kallie running scared?
My Review: 5 Stars
April 2018:
I still love this book! It's perfect if you're looking for a weekend afternoon read!
May 2017:
Kallie can't believe her luck. Of all the people to literally run into, it had to be her ex-boyfriend, Harrison. Five years. It's been five years since Harrison knocked her off her feet with his kisses and his announcement for a career change. She can't get involved with him. She swore to herself years ago that she would never give her heart away again. She just wouldn't survive it. But her head and her heart just can't seem to agree on what is best for her.
From the moment Harrison first laid eyes on Kallie, he knew she was the one for him. There was just something about her that drew him in and never let him go. Five years. It's been five years since Kallie disappeared from his life and Harrison is determined to not let her go again. She's keeping a secret and he needs to know what that is. Why did she leave him without a goodbye? What did he do? There is only one way to find out. He will do anything and everything in his power to keep her in his life. There will be no hit and run love this time. ;)
Oh how I adored Kallie and Harrison! They were perfect for each other! Harrison is amazing and I loved that he never gave up. He was determined and knew what he wanted and that was Kallie. Honestly, Kallie never stood a chance! Haha. Oh how I wish this story were a little bit longer! I loved it that much!
Ms. Peel has done it again! You see that 5 star rating up there? This hardly ever happens when it comes to novellas! But slowly, she is converting me back to novellas. She has a way of writing them to make them NOT feel like novellas... and I LOVE that!
Oh! And my casting... *dreamy sigh* Oh how I love these too! Aren't they perfect?! <3
